Our philosophy

Zero accidents,
zero compromise

Working on high-voltage networks is one of the most safety-critical jobs there is. At ENERTEC, this reality is not a constraint - it is our culture. Since our founding, we have built a rigorous HSE management system covering every phase of an intervention, from preparation to site demobilization.

The reliability of our installations is the other side of this commitment. A failing HV substation or SCADA system means thousands of customers without power and risks to grid security. We only deliver systems we are proud to put our name on.

Our HSE pillars

A 6-pillar safety system

Protective Equipment

Every technician is equipped with certified PPE for live-line work or work near MV/HV installations.

  • Class 2 insulating gloves (IEC 60903)
  • Helmets with arc flash face shields
  • Arc flash protective clothing
  • HV insulated footwear and tools
Risk Analysis

Every worksite starts with a systematic analysis of the risks specific to the intervention and its environment.

  • Prevention plan before every intervention
  • Rigorous lockout/tagout procedures
  • Verification of absence of voltage (VAT)
  • Work permit signed by the supervisor
Continuous Training

All our technicians receive regular HSE training and keep their certifications up to date.

  • Electrical certifications H1, H2, HE, B2V
  • Mandatory annual HSE refresher
  • First aid exercises (SST)
  • Training in grid operator procedures
Quality Control

Every installation we deliver undergoes a complete testing and commissioning protocol before acceptance.

  • Functional testing of all equipment
  • Cable continuity and insulation testing
  • Verification of protection and automation systems
  • Complete as-built documentation at handover
Worksite Safety

Work zones are organized and marked out to applicable standards to protect both teams and third parties.

  • MV worksite marking and signage
  • Coordination with the grid operator
  • Designated HSE site supervisor on every site
  • Site traffic and access plan
System Reliability

Our SCADA and control systems are designed for maximum network availability.

  • Redundant communication links
  • UPS backup power for equipment
  • IEC 60870/61850 protection architecture
  • 24/7 monitoring of deployed systems
Technical standards

Rigorous
international standards

ENERTEC applies IEC standards and the technical frameworks of distribution system operators (DSOs) across all its interventions. Our engineers are trained in international standards and in the specific requirements of Côte d'Ivoire and West Africa.

These frameworks guarantee that our installations are compatible with existing infrastructure and interoperable with partner operators' systems.

Field process

Before touching a cable: 5 essential steps

01
Work order receipt

The engineer in charge receives and validates the work order, identifies the specific risks and prepares the prevention plan with the field team.

02
Coordination with the grid operator

An official lockout/tagout request is filed with the operator (CIE / ANARE). No intervention starts without the written approval of the installation's operator.

03
Verification of absence of voltage (VAT)

On site, the team leader performs the VAT check on every phase with a certified device before authorizing access to the work zone.

04
Grounding and short-circuiting

Grounding and short-circuiting on both the source and load sides. Marking out of the work zone. Roles assigned to every member of the team.

05
Intervention and lockout/tagout removal

Execution of the works, final inspection, removal of grounding equipment, official lockout/tagout removal and handover of the installation back to the operator.
